Srinivas Institute of Technology had organised two days student project exhibition on 8th and 9th May 2015. Ms. Abhilasha Gaonkar, Manager – Talent Acquisitions, ARICENT, Bengaluru inaugurated the exhibition and appreciated the efforts of the students in designing and implementing innovative projects. She advised the students to improve their communication skills along with technical knowledge. Dr. A. Srinivasa Rao, Vice President, A Shama Rao Foundation, presided over the function and asked the students to develop projects which will be useful to the society. He expressed his happiness about the variety of innovative projects developed by the students.
Total of 275 Projects was exhibited, out of these 129 projects by final year BE students which include 9 projects sponsored by Karnataka State Council for Science & Technology(KSCST) and 4 projects are selected among best 10 projects throughout Karnataka, shortlisted for RUSI Award instituted jointly by Rotary Udyog, Bengaluru & Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association (KASSIA). Out of these, 38 projects are from department of Computer Science, 33 projects by department of Electronic & Communication, 08 projects by Information Science Engineering, 43 projects by department of Mechanical Engineering, 02 projects by Dept. Of Aeronautical Engineering, 05 projects by Dept. Of Electrical & Electronics Engineering and 146 mini projects was exhibited by 3rd year engineering students.
Dr. Ramakrishna N Hegde, Convener & Head Dept. of Aeronautical/Automobile Engineering briefed the importance of the Exhibition. Dr. Shrinivasa Mayya. D, Principal of the college was present on the occasion.
