A workshop on motor winding was conducted in Srinivas Institute of Technology by the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering for the final year students of the same branch. The workshop was conducted by Mr. K.E Humayun, trainer at RUDSET, Dharmasthala and Mahaboob Suban on 5th October to 7th October.

A formal ceremony was conducted on 5th October, where our respected principal inaugurated the workshop. Then our resource person gave a brief introduction on induction motors, various types and constructional features of the same. Head of the dept. Prof. Lokesh B and coordinator Prof. Sulthan Mohyuddin were present in the inaugural function.

On the first day, a class on winding systems and working principle of the induction motor was conducted. Also practical session on winding, and introduction to different insulating materials was conducted.

On the second and third day of workshop, hands-on winding sessions were conducted, where students participated in designing and doing the winding of induction motor and submersible motor. In this workshop students were exposed to practical aspects of machine design, theory of which they had already studied in earlier semester.
